If you try and process a document that has "Tracked Changes" enabled, the processing of the document will fail. You will be greeted with a message advising you to turn "Tracked Changes" off.
If you get this message, follow the instructions below to disable "Tracked Changes" if you wish to proceed processing the document.
Disabling Tracked Changes (PC version)
1. Click on the "Review Tab"
2. Click on the "Track Changes" button to disable them
Disabling Tracked Changes (MAC version)
1. Click on the "Review Tab"
2. Click on the Track Changes Toggle to disable them
You should be able to process the document now.
Sometimes the "Track Changes" feature is greyed out and you are unable to disable it. If this happens, the document is probably protected. Follow the instructions below to disable the Protection of the document if you have permission to do so.
Disabling the Tracked Changes Document Protection (PC)
1. Click on the "Review Tab"
2. Click on the "Restrict Editing" button to the right of the Ribbon
3. Click the "Stop Protection" and enter the correct password if required
Disabling the Tracked Changes Document Protection (MAC)
1. Click on the "Review Tab"
2. Click on the "Protect Document" button to the right of the Ribbon
3. Ensure that Protect document for Tracked changes is not enabled
4. Enter the correct password if required and select "OK"
You should be able to process the document now.
