Yes you can. Microsoft Word supports the conversion of PDF files to document files. Once the PDF file is converted to Word's native format, you can run authorDOCS as you would with any other document.
Here is how:
1. Right click the PDF document, click on "Open with", then select "Choose another app" (or select "Microsoft Word" if available)
2. Select "Word" and press "OK".
3. Save the file by select "File", going to "Options", and selecting "Save".
You should now be able to use Precedent.
